Our representative will pick you up at your hotel OR guesthouse the drive to River Time Resort about 27 Km. northeast of Vientiane Capital. River time Resort is located on the bank of Nam Ngum River. Driving takes about 1 hour. Arrive River time Resort. You can explore the resort grounds, the garden restaurant and the floating restaurant built on bamboo rafting on the river.  then we go across the river in the resort’s long-tailed boat to visit Na Taer village with its charming Buddhist temple well-known for its turtles cared for by the temple’s boy monks. Then, it’s on to the local primary school to meet local teachers and children (in term time), followed by a visit to a local weaving family who enjoy demonstrating their skill to travelers (and possibly negotiating a sale of one of their hand-woven silk or cotton sinh (Lao skirt).  Next is a visit to a traditional healer in the same village who is famous throughout Laos for his supposedly mystical ability to cure all kinds of ailments including cancer.  On most days, this healer receives dozens of patients who come to see him from as far afield as Luang Prabang and Xieng Khouang provinces. He treats his patients in a public ‘sala’ outside his house where all visitors are able to witness, first hand, his esoteric and apparently effective techniques.  Then, we come back over the river to the resort, where can have Lunch.  After lunch take the long-tailed boat over the river to go trekking in the Ban Na Taer Protected Forest Area.  The trek is not arduous and takes about two hours.
Back to Resort then drive back to Vientiane.
