AM. Our guide will pick you up at your hotel then biking to visit Vat Sisaket, is located this is the most importance temple in the Capital of Laos. Wat Sisaket was built in 1818 during the reign of King Anouvong, the last King of the Lane Xang Kingdom. Nearby is Wat Hophakeo, The former royal temple of the Lao monarchy, it was built in 1565 by King Sethathirath to house Emerald Buddha image. Here are displayed the best examples of the Buddhist sculptures.
Pha That Luang (Great sacred Sputa). It is the most important national monument in Laos, a symbol of both the Buddhist religion and Lao sovereignty. Built for a holy relic of Lord Buddha, Pha That Luang as seen today was rebuilt in 1566, during the reign of King Sethatherath.
Patuxai (Victory gate): Located at the North-Eastern extremity of the Lane Xang Avenue, is a large monument very reminiscent of the Arc de Triumph in Paris, France. built to commemorate the unknown soldiers of the former Government in 1962. Today the place uses for the leisure of the tourists and local people.
Central market (Morning market): the central market is located in the hearth of Vientiane on Lane Xang Avenue. It is the big trade center for different kinds of goods: We visit for ones who love variety of shopping. Lunch at local restaurant
P.M. After lunch drive to the south of Vientiane to visit the weaving villages of Ban Bo 10 KM and Ban Hom Village, where the breeding of the silkworms and the traditional weaving with the handloom can be seen in different house. Furthermore you can see the tobacco plantation, different kind of vegetable and fruits. This village is the capital people food and Vegetable supporters. The Friendship Bridge: The symbol of good friendship between the 3 countries: Laos, Thailand and Australia, it was built in 1994 some 24 KM south of Vientiane. The bridge crosses the Mekong River from Laos to Thailand. Then visit Buddha Park a huge concrete of Buddhist and Hindu sculptures. It was built in late 1954 by Venerable Boun Luea Sisourath. The later afternoon return Vientiane for walking and wash the sunset at the bank of the Mekong River.
